Banks, government services, most museums and all department stores are closed on the following days: 1 January, Easter Sunday and Easter Monday, 1 May, 8 May (VE-Day), Ascension Day, Whitmonday, 14 July (National Day: anniversary of the Storming of the Bastille), 15 August (Assumption Day), 1 November (All Saints Day), 11 November (Armistice Day), 25 December.
